Pistol BYU Formation

Please post the type of pistol variation you run. Is it an option, power running game, Wing-T variation, etc..

Pistol BYU Formation

Coaches,

I was looking into the BYU Formation which has only 3 Lineman (Missouri used it some last year) and I tried to adopt the Pistol look to it. Please check it and let me know what you think - honestly!!!

First, I don't believe you could run out of this formation. Second, your QB has to get rid of it quickly. Third, the deep throw is out of the question. Fourth, too many offensive guys used as decoys. Finally fifth, cannot be used on the youth level.
