Sprint Out Package

Postby JefeDK on Sat Sep 06, 2008 7:18 pm

So far this season, we have had success with our rush game (vs. inferior opponents.) We need to have a more effective passing game. Up to this point, we have run bubble to death along with some of the other quick game. However, we like our QB on the edge. We have two passing plays in now for our sprint out package (our 80 series). Real typical stuff.

What rules does everyone use in terms of protection by the backs (A and H)? Do you teach hip hinge by the BST and BSG? What route combinations have worked well?

I realize that not much changes in terms of sprint out patterns from gun to pistol to UC, but there has to be something that people are using that has been successful.

I can send emails with ppt files of what we do not and have anyone critique them if anyone desires....send me a PM or shoot me an email.

Thanks!

in our 90 we have the lin on the play side reach and turn and hinge on the backside, Blocking with my H is either done from the back field or from the wing. My Fav route Is a 15 yard comeback route, or Hook out in some offenses, With a Corner over top and a flat route, I also like ppost curl. and Flood.

I love this sereis we use it 30% of the time if not more.

What do you do in your flood? Do you have 3 receivers or only 2?

Out and Comeback? Arrow, Out and comeback and/or flag?

You could also look into incorporating a "Waggle Pass" which is a form of flood pass

HB - PA fake to weak side then flat if not tackled
TE - Deepish Drag to create seperation from HB
Backside WR Deep Post then drag
Playside WR Post Corner

This gets you a short, intermediate and depp pattern with the roll
Also you have a home run threat on the backside if FS cheats over
