The best answer I have for you is to REP it. We read the Flat player with our Slot. We call it a swing, but bubble is the same concept.

Our Slot will read the flat player. If the flat player wants to stay with our slot, our slot will get as wide as possible to open up the running lane. If the Flat player comes up on run support, our slot will just turn and yell "Ball." This helps with the communication as well as makes it a shorter and quicker thro for the QB.

We seriously rep it in practice for about 10-15 minutes a day with our veer read drill.

Thanks coach, we will rep it more and incorporate the concept of calling for the ball.
